While it might seem as though the Zords in the original Power Rangers were chosen at random, their true meaning is deeply related to the Ranger who wields them. Out of the many superhero shows around, the Power Rangers, and those inspired by them, are unique in that they are both synchronous yet individualized in very particular areas, including their assigned color, the weapons they wield, and the Zords they command. These clear delineations also correspond to each Ranger’s specific role on the team, which helps create endless narrative combinations depending on which Rangers pair up or are sidelined. These character archetypes are established in the very beginning of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with their Zord assignments.

James Cameron is writing Terminator 7, but there’s one big challenge that’s getting in the way. Released in 2019, Terminator: Dark Fate was an attempt at relaunching the long-running sci-fi/action franchise via a legacy sequel, with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton returning alongside a cast of young actors. The attempt largely failed unfortunately, as the film grossed just $261 million on a reported budget of $185-196 million. After Dark Fate met its somewhat dark box office fate, the Terminator franchise went into seeming deep-freeze, with Schwarzenegger recently proclaiming that he is done with the series for good.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brought with it an attempted return to classic dungeons, taking the form of five Temples throughout the game. A familiar concept for long-time players of the series, Link goes through five Temples: Wind, Fire, Water, Lightning, and Spirit, and each one varies in difficulty. The requirements tend to be minimal for most Temples, but the Spirit Temple is more demanding and, regardless of difficulty, can’t be done before the other four Temples.

An obvious conflict with the popular Star Trek: Strange New Worlds could cause some problems for a potential Star Trek: Legacy spinoff series as well as the long-gestating Star Trek 4. After Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) made a big splash in Star Trek: Discovery season 2, momentum began to build to get the character his own series. That series eventually manifested as Strange New Worlds, a throwback to the episodic structure of classic Star Trek shows with modern storytelling sensibilities and a robust budget. The show was an immediate hit, certainly a relief for Paramount in the wake of the polarizing reactions to their previous modern Star Trek shows.
