The MCU’s integration of Netflix’s The Defenders characters could require some degree of soft-rebooting, but there are some aspects that need to be left unchanged for their return to work. The cancelation of Marvel’s Netflix shows seemed like bad news for fans of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and the Punisher. However, Marvel Studios has proved that it was all for a good cause, as these characters can now join the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the Multiverse Saga.

The hit BBC show Peaky Blinders is full of characters delivering great lines but it’s the Alfie Solomons quotes that stand out from the crowd. Few characters are as iconic as Alfie even though he’s not someone who appears in every episode. Thanks to the lauded performance of Tom Hardy, Alfie is a Peaky Blinders character who steals nearly every scene he’s involved in.

Star Wars once introduced time travel, and it almost destroyed the saga’s timeline. The Star Wars universe values a strict canon quite a lot, especially compared to franchises like Marvel or DC. Disney’s Star Wars canon means that there are dozens of non-canon Star Wars stories. However, there is no such thing as an alternate Star Wars timeline or an established Star Wars multiverse.

Though no sequel has been announced as of the writing of this article, The Super Mario Bros. Movie did so well at the box office that a second movie is almost a guarantee at this point. Both Nintendo and Illumination would stand to make a lot of money from a sequel if the success of the first film is any indication, and so it seems likely that they would take advantage of that opportunity. The world of Mario is so expansive after so many years of the franchise existing that it wouldn’t be hard to pull inspiration from one of the many games for a brand-new story.
